U2 is a Hong Kong Cafe that has been around for a VERY long time. My family and I come here often as it has grown on us quite a bit. It is now one of our comfort food stops.

They offer a good variety of food at decent prices. The service is usually excellent. However, we have experienced our fair share of attitude from certain servers. Some of the staff can also be very inattentive. I catch myself having to flag them down most of the time. From our experience, there are specific servers who consistently offer amazing service but there are also specific servers who aren't that great.

Overall, this is a decent stop if you're in the area and craving HK Cafe style food. Service varies by server and the prices for the portions you get are pretty good. There is also a lot of food to choose from!

Growing up in the 626, every kid has a specific Hong Kong cafe that they grew up with and this was mine. This place is definitely a hole in the wall cafe that often goes unnoticed, and it survives mainly on its long time regulars and families in the area.

My favorite dish here is the chicken steak and spaghetti. If you like the one from Baccalli and want a similar one for a much cheaper price, this is the spot. The chicken steak itself is always juicy on the inside and so crispy on the outside. They offer a variety of sauces and I usually go with the onion one but quite honestly, the chicken steak itself is so perfectly seasoned that you don't need anything with it. The spaghetti is a kind of ketchup spaghetti that is similar to baccalli's. With the entree, you are also given a free bowl of soup and you can add an unlimited refillable drink of lemon iced tea or hk style milk tea. The lemon iced tea is a hit or miss at times, some days the tea is stronger than others. However, if you like a very strong hk milk tea, this one is the one for you. It isn't as sweet as a normal milk tea from a regular boba shop so beware.
They have different deals depending on breakfast, lunch, dinner, and also late night. You can basically get the same dish for cheaper if you go late at night, just a tip. I also like the variety of breakfast combos they offer here as well. One star off because it could be cheaper, as it is about $14 for an entree with a drink.
The ambiance here is very quiet and homey, there is always TVB playing on the TVs and there's free WiFi. The workers do not speak the best English but they're friendly and it's enough to get by. Overall, it's a place that I hold dearly to me and it's somewhere that I'm probably going to keep coming back to.

I really try to love U2. But I'm not sure. I think coming in for drinks is okay, The food could be better. It taste fine, but I'm very certain I got diarrhea from this place.

The food is affordable and they are spacious. As they have a fast casual section and a waited cafe section. I think I've seen kids play online video games in the back. So it's a place to hang out if you really don't want to go to a Starbucks.

It does get packed during lunch.

We've been coming here almost on a weekly basis and it seems as if the service has been getting worse. The staff isn't as attentive as when my first review was written. A lot of times, they'll walk by your empty drink cup and not offer to refill it. You might have to flag them down a few times before they get around to it.

Overall, it's still a decent place to get Hong Kong style breakfast, but I think Garden Café in Alhambra near Garfield Ave is a better choice for it. It's a little bit pricier, but I think the food is better.
